What an awesome opportunity we have to vote in such an interesting and historical election year....plus I heard you can get free Krispy Kreme and Ben and Jerry's if you vote - if that ain't incentive, I don't know what is! Have a great day and be safe out there, pretty heavy weather to have to go out and vote in, but just do it!!

How Could I Forget to Mention??

Happy November! This too is one of my favorite months (I know, I say that all the time), but really it is! But one of the best things about it is that it is National Adoption Awareness Month. Adoption has been such an incredible blessing in our lives, and that of Connor's amazing birthparents. I hear so many awesome adoption stories from all of my wonderful friends, and sometimes strangers, that I know that it is an extraordinary gift from God. And I know it beyond a shadow of a doubt. If you are one of those fortunate ones who has had adoption touch you in some way, please feel free to share (see my link to Adoption Stories below)..but most of all, please express your gratitude. And remember, Jesus too was an adopted son. And before I start crying my non-water-proof mascara into my keyboard, let me say thank you to all of you for your undying support and words of encouragement. You are all members of my extended adopted family! I love you!!

Because I Love You....

And because October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I would like to encourage, no demand, that all my fabulous friends and sisters aged 40 or over go out and get your mammograms!!! I know, sounds like a fun way to spend quality time with yourself and I know you are thinking "I'd rather get a pedicure, thanks Aims" and quite frankly, so would I! But mammograms SAVE LIVES!!! I just got mine today, thank you very much and got me to thinking of all of the beautiful women in my life that I love and want to have with me for a very very long time. They are a little uncomfortable, but they are quick and painless. Okay, I'll be honest, as pain free as a squisher
can be. And nothing says you can't schedule a pedi after your appointment. So do both!!! If you haven't reached the FABULOSITY that is 40 yet, then please tell (don't ask) your friends, sisters, mothers, grandmother, aunties - whatever women in your life that are 40 and fierce to schedule a mammogram TODAY!
