New Year's Rockin' Eve!

Who needs Dick Clark baby (wow, did I just date myself?) when you have ROCK BAND!!!

Everybody put your hands together for the All Girl (plus one toddler) New Year's Rockin' Eve Band! Amy on vocals, Tina on bass, Marcie on lead guitar and Pearl Jam on drums!!! Here we are doing our cover of the Go-Go's WE GOT THE BEAT!!!! And of course, Lonny "Slow Hand" jams it out and plays it cool! Somebody once told me that Connor looked like a little Paul McCartney...I always thought it was because of the almond shaped brown eyes, but it turns out it's because, like Sir Paul, Connor is a master of the left handed bass (Sesame Street edition)

Here are some photos of my little family opening their gifts....consider the noticeable absence of pictures of me....that would be because I am the only one taking pictures! Lonny handled the video end of things, mainly filming me struggling to get Connor's presents out of the friggin' packaging (you need a degree, a sharp knife and the number to the nearest Insta-Care handy!)

Lonny opens his brand new IPOD Touch!

It was a Christmas filled with trains and coaches and cars (Oh My!). This year I bought most of my own gifts, so there wasn't too much to open (though I wrapped some of them anyway) yet Lon still managed to surprise me with a few things anyhow (a digital picture frame featuring every photo-documented moment of my child's life)and I have only seen the top of my husband's head for the last few days as he is busy loading stuff on his new gadget (1017 songs and counting!). But it was also filled with gratitude for this little blessing we call Connor, for our wonderful family and friends that we love so much, the neighborhood we live in, and each other. And renewed hope as we look to the New Year and pray that our next little one, the one who is truly meant to be with us, is coming home to us soon. Hope you had a magical holiday and that the heart of the season lasts throughout the year.

Call the Doctah!

I seem to have developed a case of "sitonyerbuttitis".... a condition that many have, but few will admit to. It effects everyone a little differently, but mine seemed to onset through reading and posting on blogs and through my new Facebook addiction. Yike! I need a cure....Christmas stuff is starting to pile up all around me and I am going to get buried here if I don't get up and dig myself out of the computer room....Help!

BTW....thank you for all the CD requests through posting, phone calls and in person....the final cut is almost ready...I am going to test out the not so final cut at Marcie's NY party...and just a reminder, some of it is pretty loud, rockin' music....you may want to protect your children's ears before listening to make sure there will be no decible damage.

Anyway, I am going to work on peeling myself off this chair. One...two...three! Nah, it's too comfortable. I need professional help!! What gets you out of your pajamas during the holidays??

And Mom, it was 19 years ago today that you joined your Savior in Heaven. We love you, we miss you today and always, and are thinking of Connor's Grandma who lives with Jesus.

Christmas Eve

We have had a wonderful time so far.....first we went to our neighbors house, who do an amazing Nativity scene every year...including, live amimals (as Connor would say). They do a reading of the Christmas story and there are bon fires and hot chocolate. This year they had the cutest Christmas donkies!

Then we headed over to Connor's Nursery teacher's house....they have the most amazing TRAINS you have ever seen! Connor was enthralled and enjoyed playing conducter yelling "Choo Choo" whenever they came around the bend...



It is just about time to put our little guy to bed, while visions of amimals and trains, dance in his head. And while he is in his bed snuggled up tight, we'll say
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!
