It's Fun to turn One

It was a big day around here, and a celebration indeed. Our little girls, who started their lives so tiny and with 24 hour hospital care, are now celebrating their first birthday. They are beautiful, healthy, strong and haven't missed a beat in terms of development. We couldn't be more grateful or feel more blessed. Especially since we are also celebrating surviving our first year with twins!

We hosted a wonderful brunch and served delicious breakfast stratas, fresh fruit and my famous cranberry and cashew salad. Each girl got her very own red velvet cake. They started their day with a bath and were dressed in little angel outfits. They greeted their guests and did a wonderful job as hostesses. They had a great time with their cakes, Abby just a bit more delicate (not one crumb on her outfit) then Ella (smeared everywhere). They were buried in presents, but I was busy helping them open while Lonny manned the video camera so unfortunately, no stills. There is just so much going on! We thank all of our guests, family and friends (even a Spent Rod!) for helping us with this joyous day! Happy Birthday, Abigail and Eleanor. You are truly little angels from above!
