For a quick out of town breather to celebrate Mother's Day (and to try out Lonny's new wheels) we headed down to St. George. We only stayed overnight, but any chance to get out and about and down to some sunshine was fine with me. We went to breakfast at the Cracker Barrell (and all those who are groaning are surely not from Southern stock...this was one of my dad's favorite restaurants, therefore mine and I refuse to apologize for it - come on, people...fried apples!!) and then went swimming for about two hours. Afterwards we visited the Wildlife Museum. It was mainly a VERY large collection of dead, stuffed things (and anyone who knows me knows how much I love THAT) but it was an impressive collection and it is always interesting to see the actual size of animals that you just read about or see on t.v. It had a fun kids interactive area too plus they let the kids have a pair of binoculars to use so Connor was sold from the start (although he hates being interrupted from his fun to have his picture taken, as you may have surmised). It was a fun little get away and I really needed that so thanks Lonny and Connor for my gift - time with my guys!
