Just want to give a reminder about our gig tomorrow night. It is a benefit for the Universalist/Unitarian Church located at 569 South 1300 East. We will be rockin' the house from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. As it is a benefit, it is $7.00 per person and $12.00 per couple.
To tell you a little bit about it, this is a fund raiser for the high school youth. Every summer they go on a humanitarian mission. Our guitar player, Craig is a member of this church. One summer, his son went and did some service work from the Navajo Indians. He says that Ryan came back a completely different individual. Powerful stuff. So Craig accompanied the kids the following year as they went and built wells for the Hopi Indian Tribe. He has trouble articulating how much it meant to him (and he is a lawyer, so there you go). He just says over and over that it was simply, life changing.
This summer the kids are hoping to go to the Gulf Coast and help make a difference by assisting in building homes for those affected by Katrina. Atomic Amy and the Spent Rods are proud and truly honored to be a part of this tremendous effort. If you can come by and help while enjoying some great music (if we do say so ourselves), please come on out. If you have any questions, contact me! And as always, we appreciate the support (and enthusiasm) that you give to us. The guys always say they can always count on Amy's friends and family to bring out the numbers!!!

You mention $7 person or $12 couple. Are kids allowed? I'm not sure if we'll be able to make it since we're FINALLY painting our kitchen tomorrow. And after that we're going treadmill shopping. But we'll see. That sounds like an awesome cause! Do they have a website or another place to donate to the cause?
I am not sure about donating in another way...and I am sure kids would be welcome. But don't sweat it...you have been great supporters.
